Curator and Digital Strategist

If you're new here, welcome. Curated Fields exists to help more people discover the farms, food businesses, and rural destinations that enrich our communities. We believe rural places have stories worth sharing, experiences worth discovering, and an important role to play in reconnecting people with where their food comes from and the people behind it.

Rather than chasing trends or marketing hype, Curated Fields focuses on strengthening digital foundations through strategy, storytelling, visibility resources, and practical guidance that helps the right people find you and take the next step.

Behind Curated Fields is Dahlia Orcajada, a Calgary-based marketing and communications professional with more than 15 years of experience leading digital strategy, content, and website initiatives. Her work brings together a passion for farm experiences and fostering meaningful connections between people and place.

Alongside client work, Dahlia is also building Farm Charm, a curated collection of farm experiences across Western Canada that connects curious visitors with the farms, families, and rural communities behind them.

The mission is simple: help more people visit farms, buy local, and support rural communities.

WHAT GUIDES OUR WORK

Core Values

  • Curiosity

Meaningful discovery begins with curiosity: about the land, the people behind it, and the stories that connect them.

  • Connection

Stronger connections between people, places, and agricultural systems create stronger communities.

  • Restoration

Time spent in nature, on farms, and in rural places has the power to restore perspective and well-being.

  • Stewardship

Supporting the people and places that care for the land and contribute to resilient local economies.

Why Visibility Matters

Engaging the next generation

Building visibility isn't just about marketing. Farms don't simply need more customers. They need opportunities to connect with the people who care about the future of agriculture: curious visitors, conscious consumers, and families looking for a deeper connection to where their food comes from.

When rural businesses become easier to find, more visitors arrive, more stories get shared, and more people have the opportunity to connect with agriculture in meaningful ways.
